Core Technical and Economic Indicators Performance

of the Project for Assembly of Steam Turbine No. 4 at Abakan CHP

The project is being implemented within the framework of discharge of obligations under power supply contracts.

The investment project implementation goal consists in increase of the plant installed capacity and of the amount of electric energy generation and thermal energy supply.

The investment project implementation will result in increasing installed electric power capacity of Abakan CHP by 120 MW to be 390 MW. The installed thermal power capacity will increase by 100 Gcal/h to be 725 Gcal/h. The plant operation economic performance will increase substantially.

This investment project implementation will enable solution of the following tasks:
- provision for delivery of the required capacity into the wholesale electric energy market;
- increase of JSC “Yenisei TGC (TGC-13)” share in the electric and thermal energy market;
- enhancement of competitive ability in the electric and thermal energy market.

Abakan CHP expansion envisages construction of a new 120 MW unit equipped with a steam turbine of Type Ò-120/136-12,8-8ÌÎ, a generator of Type ÒÂÔ – 125-2Ó3 and a boiler with a 500 t/h steam production rate. Additionally, one is to undertake reconstruction of the process water supply system and the electric power supply circuit as well as construction of a second fuel delivery line.

Core Technical and Economic Indicators Performance of the Project

for Reconstruction of Unit No. 7 of Nazarovo GRES

The project is being implemented within the framework of discharge of obligations under power supply contracts.

The project implementation goal consists in reconstruction of Plant No. 7 unit aimed to eliminate the existing installed capacity utilization limitations which will be equivalent to the installed capacity and installed capacity increase by 15 MW.

Reconstruction of Plant No. 7 unit of Nazarovo GRES is to result in increase of installed capacity to be 415 MW and provision for reliable and failure-free operation of the equipment.

The Plant No. 7 unit core equipment includes: a boiler unit of Type Ï-49 (Ïï 1600/255Æ) (double-furnace, straight-flow, total steam production rate = 1630 t/h); a turbine of Type Ê-500-240; a turbogenerator of Type ÒÃÂ-500-2 and other auxiliary equipment.

An array of actions has been planned within the framework of the unit reconstruction project implementation:

• Reconstruction of Turbine Ê-500-240. Reconstruction of boilers 7À, 7Á involving replacement of heating surfaces, setting and insulation, boilers switchover to the low-temperature turbulent technology of fuel combustion.
• Modernization of Unit No. 7 automated process control system.
• Reconstruction of the unit transformer involving replacement of 3 phases.
• Central coal pulverizing plant equipment reconstruction.
