Krasnoyarsk CHP No. 4
The station does not have fixed electric capacity.Fixed heat capacity is 486 Gcal-h.
Krasnoyarsk CHP-4 used to be named Sosnovoborsk CHP. At 20 March 2009 the station was given a new name according to the decision of the Board of Directors of JSC “Yenisei Territorial Generating Company (TGC-13)” (Report ¹15/09 of 6 March 2009)
Building of Sosnovoborsk CHP was started in 1987.
At the present time Krasnoyarsk CHP-4 operates as a boiler and doesn’t produce electric power. The station supplies industrial enterprises and housing and communal sector of Sosnovoborsk with heat. In addition, it is the only station of “Yenisei TGC” which supplies consumers with both hot and cold drinking water.
Four water-heating and two steam boilers operating on black oil with total heat capacity of 460 Gcal-h and 5 electrode boilers with available capacity of 26 Gcal-h are put into operation.
Black oil is used as the main fuel at the station.
State Corporation “Rosatom” has started building of Zheleznogorsk CHP at the area of Sosnovoborsk CHP according to the intergovernmental treaty between Russia and the USA on stopping of plutonium production at operating reactor ADE-2 in Zheleznogorsk in 2007. The new station is to replace capacities of nuclear reactor which is a subject of decommissioning. Zheleznogorsk CHP will become the source of power for two cities – Zheleznogorsk and Sosnovoborsk. Building of the CHP is carried out at the expense of the USA. Federal State Unitary Enterprise “Rosatomstroy” was appointed the management company for realization of the project. JSC “Yenisei Territorial Generating Company (TGC-13)” in the name of the branch Sosnovoborsk CHP now renamed as the branch Krasnoyarsk CHP was determined as exploiting organization of Zheleznogorsk CHP.
