Established electric power is 80 MW.
Established thermal power is 474 Gcal/h (including electric boiler rooms).

Established on 25, December, 1997. This is the day when the first power generating unit was put into operation. Previously used as a boiler house, Minusinsk CHP began producing electric power. Capacity of the power generating unit was only 80 MW, but it was the only new facility in Russia to be commissioned in 1997.

Today Minusinsk CHP is the key heat source in Minusinsk that the townspeople call “the hot heart of the town”. The station delivers thermal power to Minusinsk and the villages of Zelyoniy Bor, Ilyichevo, Shushenskoye and Tes.

Equipment of the station includes a ÏÒ-80 type turbine with an 80 MW generator, a power boiler with the capacity of 420 t/h, 4 boilers in the startup peak boiler house with the steam capacity of 75 t/h and 22 electric boiler rooms.

The power station can work both in the heating mode and in the combined heat and electric power production mode. Coal extracted from Irsha-Borodinsky open-pit mine situated 471 km from the station is used as the main fuel.
