Krasnoyarsk Heat Network

Heat network length:
544 km in two-pipe calculation (1088 km – in one-pipe calculation),
including backbone networks — 168 km.
Established electric power of the boiler houses is 837,8 Gcal/h.

The company was established on 22 February, 1958, on the basis of the Heat Network Unit of Krasnoyarsk CHP No. 1.

Apart from the heat networks, today the company operates 19 km of steam ducts and condensate ducts, 13 central heat points, 18 pump plants, 7 electric boiler houses in Divnogorsk City.

The heat networks operated by Krasnoyarsk Heat Network are located in Krasnoyarsk and Divnogorsk, Krasnoyarsk Krai. The population of the cities consuming thermal power is about 800 000 people. The housing and utilities sector is the primary consumer, and such companies as OJSC Yenisei Cellulose and Paper Works, OJSC Synthetic Rubber Factory and OJSC “Krasny Yar-Shina” are also major consumers of thermal power in the form of steam.

Krasnoyarsk Heat Network produces, transmits and distributes thermal energy to the connected heat consumers and is engaged in operation, maintenance and repairs of thermomechanical and electrical equipment and heat networks.

A longer heating season is a distinctive feature of Krasnoyarsk heat supply system in comparison to that of the heat supply systems in the western regions of Russia. Unlike most neighbouring Siberian regions, Krasnoyarsk has an open water supply system, which means that the water circulating in the heat network is used both for heating and for hot water supply of the consumers.
