Krasnoyarsk CHP No. 3
The station does not have an established electric power.Established thermal power is 442 Gcal/h.
3 January, 1992 is considered to be the foundation date of Krasnoyarsk CHP No. 3. This is the date when it received the status of an operating CHP (until that moment it was considered to be under construction. In 1976 Ministry of Industry and Power Engineering of the USSR passed a resolution approving the feasibility study for the construction of CHP No. 3 and the construction site was chosen. Construction began in 1981. In December, 1986, the startup and heating boiler room was commissioned, and thermal energy production began. Construction of the power station was suspended in the 1990-s.
Today Krasnoyarsk CHP No. 3 is the key investment project of the company. Construction of the station was resumed in 2007, in accordance with the investment plan of Yenisei TGC. It is planned that the first power generating unit will be commissioned in 01.01.2012 ã.
Today Krasnoyarsk CHP No. 3 supplies heat to industrial companies and the housing and utilities sector in Sovietsky District, Krasnoyarsk, including Severny and Vzlyotka neighbourhoods and the new development in Zelyonaya Roshcha. CHP No. 3 is equipped with a flow-through process water supply system and has its own railroad facilities.
Coal extracted from Irsha-Borodinsky open-pit mine situated 162 km from the station is used as the main fuel for the CHP. Black oil is used as the fuel for the water heating boilers.
